In this Hieros Institute conversation with Dr. Glenn Magee, philosophy professor emeritus, editor, and author, we consider what has happened to higher education in the last thirty years, how far it has fallen, and how it can be regenerated. We are seeing today the consequences of what happens when, instead of 1-2 % of the population, 60 or 70% is expected to go to college or university. What we see today is not only the collapse of higher education as it was understood a century ago, but also the erasure of Western civilization itself. Can authentic higher education be restored?
